Online Couples Workshop – Michael Grinder & Associates

Online Workshop Starts February 22, 2025

Discover how nonverbal communication skills can help you reconnect with your partner and enrich your relationship.

This online Couples Workshop will show you how.

We enter our relationships with the best of intentions.

What people don’t tell you is your relationship is more than just you and your partner. Your relationship has three parts: you, your partner, and the relationship itself.

Even the best relationships need advanced skills that help them communicate and connect on a deeper level. That’s why understanding the nonverbals of communication can help you:

Negotiate more smoothly and without stress.
More easily manage conflict that pops up.
Deepen your friendship and improve your intimacy

This couples communication workshop is for couples of all orientations, no matter how long you’ve been together. If you want to learn how to make your relationship feel easier, this series is for you! Plus, the workshop is entirely virtual — you can attend from the comforts of your home!

Can’t attend a session? No problem! We’ll send you and your sweetie the recording so you can watch it later.

*Please note that the classes will be recorded and used in the future as a model*

After Michael attended one of John Gottman’s workshops with his wife Gail, he was inspired to create To Love, To Honor, and To Negotiate. Now, Krista and Michael will cohost the 22nd year of running this workshop together completely virtual and from the comfort of your home.

Here’s what we’ll discuss during the online couples workshop:
  • The three factors that produce satisfaction in a relationship.
  • Why males stonewall, and why they need to take breaks during conflicts. What are those gender differences and how they show up in the relationship?
  • Why the art of listening is the secret for handling conflict.
  • How partners are like household pets – the dog comes when called, the cat has an answering machine.
  • Why a “friend of the relationship” is crucial, and how to find and foster those friendships.
Here’s how the couples workshop works:
  • We’ll meet once a week for 90 minutes. Before each session, you’ll have something short to read or watch. You’ll also receive a set of questions based on the pre-learning.
  • During the session, you’ll have a worksheet to guide your learning.
  • For the first 55 minutes, we will discuss concepts and skills. Then, we will pause so you and your partner can talk off-screen about what was presented.
  • We’ll take a five-minute break and finish with 30 minutes of optional questions and comments.
  • You’ll receive a “Reflections” worksheet as a follow-up.
  • Can’t attend a session, or want to re-watch a session? All lessons are recorded so you can view them again.
  • *Please note that the classes will be recorded and used in the future as a model*

Here’s What You’ll Learn During the Online Couples Workshop:
  • How knowing your partner’s Love Map can help you connect with them more deeply and easily.
  • Why taking a short break from conflict is a good thing.
  • How you can use the Chairs of Negotiation to talk about what you need, honor each other’s values, and find new solutions – together.
  • Whether you’re a Cat or a Dog in your relationship – and how that affects your relationship style.
  • Proven ways you can streamline your communication skills and lower your stress levels.
  • Why 69 percent of chronic problems are not fixable – and what to do instead.
