Managing Groups: The Fast Track

Note: Event closed to the public

Most of us are overtrained in one-on-one communication and think that a group is made up of individuals. The temptation is to try and establish working relationships with individuals with the strategy of having a collective working relationship with the entire group.

However, group dynamics is not mathematics; the whole is more than the sum of the parts – it is a culture. As a culture, it vibrates and changes from being functional to healthy to temporary dysfunctional and, in some regrettable occasions, chronically dysfunctional. How we provide leadership for each of those four types of groups is the focus of this training.
